Located in the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises, Projekt Zukunft (Project Future), is an initiative of the state of Berlin for the promotion of the growth areas of ICT, media and the creative economy. Project Future develops strategies to enhance the pulling power of Berlin, builds platforms, initiates networks, organises exchanges with business community, develops novel funding instruments, produces studies, and realises innovative projects for enterprise and society at large.

Business and technology support for companies, investors and scientific institutions in Berlin – this is the Berlin Partner für Wirtschaft und Technologie GmbH mission. With customized services and an excellent science and research network, our many experts provide an outstanding range of programs to help companies launch, innovate, expand and secure their economic future in Berlin.
A unique public-private partnership, Berlin Partner for Business and Technology collaborates with the Berlin State Senate and over 200 companies dedicated to promoting their city. Berlin Partner is also responsible for marketing the German capital to the world, for example with the successful “be Berlin” campaign.
SIBB is the ICT business association for the German capital and its surrounding region. It represents the interests of mainly ICT vendors and service providers from the SME sector vis-à-vis government, industry and society. The association is the partner and service provider of regional companies and also networks the ICT economy. The SIBB’s overarching aim is to develop Berlin-Brandenburg into one of the most innovative and successful of ICT regions in Germany.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) of Berlin offers a range of services and consulting to Berlin industry in the six business divisions of locational policy; business start-ups and enterprise support; vocational and further training; innovation and environment; international business; and legal affairs and tax law. The IHK’s extensive range of services also includes service offers specially tailored to the needs of specific branches such as the service sector; banking and insurance; real estate; transport; the health economy; trade; industry; the IT economy; the creative industry; tourism; and catering.
Innovation plays a pivotal role in meeting future challenges and drives the city’s ongoing social and economic development. Technologiestiftung Berlin is committed to transforming new ideas into reality and shifting projects emerging from Berlin’s R&D community into action. It identifies and develops emerging technologies best suited for advancing Berlin as a leading place for innovation und prosperity.
Currently Technologiestiftung is engaged in topics like Open and Big Data, Smart Home and Smart City. It is also committed to support the use of Open Educational Resources in Berlin’s educational system.
